Snorers don't really have the affinity for "Z's", no matter how often these come out of their mouths. The funny thing about snorers is they don't know that they snore, unless they have partners who leave them bruise marks to prove it.

As the cartoon shows clearly, snoring is a noise that disturbs everyone in the house, maybe even the house next door, and even your own dog. There are definite causes for snoring which is defined by Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, as:

Age. Your throat muscles tend to become more loose as you grow older.

Alcohol. Drinking also loosens throat muscles and airflow is lessened.

Sleeping on your back restricts the flow of air and allows throat muscles to relax, thus blocking airways. Try sleeping on your side.

Our bodies need continuous sleep, so being awake several times at night interrupts the flow. Without sleep, we become cranky, moody, irritable, and it affects our blood pressure and heart rate. No wonder you wake up feeling like that big, bad ferocious bear, when you want to be warm and cuddly.
